St. John’s Antigua- A service is being held here this afternoon to mark the diamond jubilee of the Queen Elizabeth the second.
She’s celebrating 60 years on the throne.
The service, which is to be held at the Spring Gardens Moravian Church at 4.30 pm, coincides with similar services in a number of other Caribbean territories.
The one here though differs in that it’s an Anglican service being held in a Moravian church.
The Queen of England is the head of the Anglican Church, but due to renovation work at the Cathedral of St John the Divine, the Anglicans are being accommodated at Spring Gardens Moravian.
