St. John’s Antigua- Princess Margaret Secondary (PMS) are the new champions of the United Insurance Schools Under-15 cricket competition.
Princess Margaret dethroned Purcell Vegetable Farm All Saints Secondary by beating the defending champions by five wickets in the final at Rising Sun Ground.
All Saints Secondary batted first and were restricted to 103 for six off their allotted 25 overs.
Kirima Gore, who got 23, topscored with the bat while there were 63 extras, comprising 52 wides, eight no balls and three byes.
Javy Benjamin captured two for 17, Elroy Francis Jr picked up two for 25 and Javier Spencer claimed one for 20.
Princess Margaret achieved victory by scoring 104 for five with five balls to spare.
Xavier Marshall struck 34 not out while there were 46 extras, comprising 36 wides, five no balls, four byes and one leg bye.
Akeem Blackman, Jason Thwaites and Malone Joseph each captured a wicket. All Saints Secondary won the title in 2010 and 2011.
