KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, Apr. 19, CMC – Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has delayed his trip to Qatar after complaining of feeling unwell during his stopover in Barbados on Wednesday and has sought medical attention there, a government spokesman said here Thursday.

Elson Crick, communication consultant in the Office of the Prime Minister, said in an email to the media Thursday morning that Gonsalves is seeing a doctor in Bridgetown and will decide later in the day whether to continue with the trip or return to Kingstown.

The director of the Agency for Public Information, Jimmy Prince, and Cleo Jones-Huggins of the state trade promotion agency, Invest SVG, are proceeding to Qatar as planned for the World Investment Forum, set to open in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Friday, to be followed by a UN conference of trade and development ministers on Saturday.
