PMS and All Saints to meet in Under-15 final

St. John’s Antigua- The 2012 United Insurance Under-15 Schools Cricket Competition and the inaugural College League Championship is expected to climax today.

The Under-15 final between Princess Margaret School (PMS) and Purcell Vegetable Farm All Saints Secondary at the Rising Sun will bring the curtains down on this year’s competition.

Princess Margaret booked their spot in the final by snatching an 11-run victory over St Joseph’s Academy at Rising Sun.

Princess Margaret made 97 for six off their allotted 25 overs with Xavier Marshall hitting 30, Javy Benjamin 12 and Dante Ryan 10. Academy conceded 39 extras in the PMS innings. Jonte Barnes took two for 10, Vaughn Christopher had one for nine and Gerald Williams picked up one for 20.

In reply, St. Joseph’s Academy crashed to 86 all out in 20.2 overs. Zubin Deyal scored 26 and Christopher made 12.

Marshall captured three for 26, Javier Spencer and Jamel Shillingford each picked up two for 13 and Benjamin claimed two for 14. There were 25 extras.

All Saints Secondary beat Clare Hall Secondary by 23 runs to secure their berth into the final.

All Saints Secondary made 87 with Karima Gore hitting 28 not out. Lamech McDougal snapped up four for 12 and Tariq Benjamin snatched three for six.

Akeem Blackman then grabbed four for 19, Malone Joseph captured three for nine and Jason Thwaites picked up two for 13 as Clare Hall Secondary tumbled to 64 all out.

The College League competition will also conclude today when Antigua State College take on hosts American University of Antigua at 2 pm. Combined Schools have already won the competition.
