Philmore ‘Don Pizzle’ Mullin Jr was yesterday languishing on life support in a New York hospital at the time of going to press.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Philmore “Don Pizzle” Mullin Jr, son of the National Office of Disaster Services director, was yesterday clinging to life in a New York hospital after he was shot in the head.

Though information surrounding the incident was sketchy, this newspaper understands that Mullin, a father of one, remained on life support at the time of going to press.

According to a relative, the 25 year old was shot in the street on Saturday. The family has been in touch with his doctor, who was awaiting their arrival to decide on the next move.

When contacted by The Daily OBSERVER, Mullin Sr was too distraught to speak; he however confirmed the reports.

Meantime, Mullin Jr’s Facebook Friends offered get-well wishes on the social network.

“Please all pray for him. He is still hanging on,” one poster said. “Phil, I’ve been here since you were a little boy. Please pull through this honey.”

Another wrote, “Keep fighting, please hold on. You have a lot of people here praying for you. … stay with us.”

Before migrating to The Big Apple, Mullin attended the Mary E Pigotts, Ottos Comprehensive and Jennings Secondary schools and was known to many as “Larda Mercy.”

Mullin is an artiste who released a dancehall single in New York this month.
