Dear Editor
Over the weekend I attended a party as I usually do, but at this party I encountered an unusual problem. After paying the entrance fee I was met by a member of the police force to be searched, though this was but a minor thing compared to what was ahead.
I was attired in camouflage cargo pants knowing that it was against the law to wear such. The officer then asked me, ‘why you wearing these pants?’ I replied, ‘I’m sorry sir, it won’t happen again.’ He then replied, ‘No, no, you’re not, but go ahead in.’
He could have easily told me that I can’t go in the party like that or even confiscate the pants. But he didn’t.
This made me realize how ungrateful we are when it comes to some of the things that these individuals do for this country, but if the officer is reading this, I would like you to know that I am sorry sir and it won’t happen again. Thank you for letting me in also because the party was “Mahhdy”.
