St. John’s Antigua- F&G Ovals beat KC Ballers in the only game played on Wednesday evening in the Cool & Smooth, Stag Beer ABBA Division 2 Basketball Competition.

Playing at JSC Sports Complex in the second game of a double-header, Ovals took the fight to Ballers, clipping them, 74-55.

KC Ballers point production came mainly from Kwame Payne who shot 24 points and Carlos Gage, 10 points, in a losing effort.

The opening game between Baldwin Braves II and Maginley Blue Jays did not come off because Blue Jays failed to pay their registration fee.

There was no play at Ottos Complex due to inclement weather. Police Spartans were scheduled to take on Harold Lovell Rockersville, while Freetown Travelers were to face Blizzards.

The Public Relations Officer for the basketball association, Mandy Weatherhead, said a number of teams are yet to pay their registration fees and that the deadline was last Sunday.

Teams not paying their registration fees will not play until they do so. (By Vanroy Burnes)
