St. John’s Antigua- President of the Nurses Association Laurilyn Williams says many of the nation’s healthcare providers, particularly nurses, are undervalued.
The charge comes as Nurses begins their week of activities today, following a service at the Nazarine Church on Queen Elizabeth Highway.
She describes nurses as the backbone of Antigua and Barbuda’s society.
Tomorrow the nurses association will be marching with the TUC as Antigua and Barbuda commemorates Labour Day.
Williams also highlighted some activities that will take place in coming days.
Nurses Week is internationally celebrated…This year’s theme is “Nurses Advocating Leading and Caring”.Nurses Week and runs from May 6th to 12th.
