Massacre of jobs at Long Bay

Dear Editor

Recently, several hundred jobs were shot dead and a major investor was sent packing.

I would like to thank Mr Yearwood and let him know that I will be around and ready to remind him every step of the way that he did an excellent job of killing off several hundred jobs and pushed a major investor and friend of Antigua away from our shores by demonstrating how difficult we can make it for other investors.

Everyone was bending over backwards to make sure that the beach would be accessible to all but Mr Yearwood, who probably hasn’t been to the beach in a very long time.

He believes he has won a battle.  If destroying the ability to invest in Antigua was your goal then certainly you have succeeded; to what ends, I have no idea.

Mr Yearwood, I have no idea what was in your mind at the time.  Was it just to be in opposition?  The Beaches resort has a goal to make sure their customers get a great beach experience and they take care of a property.

Will you now take care of the property?  Will you provide jobs and funding to care for Long Bay?

Construction jobs gone;  vendor supply requests gone;  hotel jobs gone; tax monies from hotel guests gone;  big investor gone, and all we get is Robin Yearwood?  I think we got a bad deal.

Thanks for nothing.
