Fans are describing the Mad-T-Guans’ new music video “Slim vs Fluffy” as “wonderful,” “hilarious” and “madly.”
Manager of the group Kem Hodge says the video shows the “preferences between slim and fluffy girls.”
Mad-T-Guans Raffique “Lyrical Reds” Edwards and Juney “Jukey Dan” James sing energetically throughout the video, with the rest of the Mad-t-guans dancing to the rhythm.
The video features teams of the slim competing against teams of the fluffy in football and volleyball matches.
The video was recently launched on Facebook as a treat for fans and later uploaded to Youtube. It’s made appearances on CTV and Karib Cable as well.
To keep fans entertained, the Mad-T-guans have organised an all-inclusive fete called “Tomorrow Never Dies”, for the 31st of December, 9pm at The Palms Restaurant. Tickets can be bought for $60 and obtained through any Mad-T-guans member or through a Facebook inbox to their page.
Hodge also hinted at the music group’s plan to hit the studio next month for its new album.
Mad-T-Guans, formerly members of the Juggle Fu Life crew, shot to fame last year, after release of the KFC or Kentucky song. The song, which had an accompanying “chicken dance,” snagged the Uptempo Soca Monarch crown, for member Joel “Hard Knaxx” Lewis and was adjudged the 2011 Road March tune.
With their humorous antics and accompanying footwork that year, the group danced their way into popularity with songs like Movie and Nine Life.
As part of preparations for their trip to Trinidad for participation in the 2012 International Soca Monarch Competition, they joined forces with veteran soca artiste Danski, who managed the group. They would then separate from the Juggle Fu Life crew and embark on a new chapter of their career in entertainment.
With a new name and a new manager this year Mad-T-Guans have set new goals and are hoping to see them to fruition.
