Lions Club is trying

August 7, 2012, St John’s Antigua – Lions’ Club President Eural Baptist II is expressing regret at the incidence of violence associated with the charity dances his organisation holds each Carnival, especially a stabbing incident which has left a young man in a struggle for life in intensive care.
The 22-year-old was stabbed in the chest on Sunday with the weapon wounding his heart.
Baptist says Lions is doing all it can to try to protect patrons.

Baptist says, despite all the security efforts, there are some people who are just too determined to stop.

The Lions Club president says that the police managed to break up two other scuffles on Sunday night, but missed the stabbing.
The young man’s father has said that his son didn’t even know he had been stabbed until his friends told him.
