Lion Hill FC maintained their status as the number two team in the Second Division competition when they defeated Jennings United 3-1 at the Golden Grove playing field on Monday.
Lion Hill, who had a double strike from forward Errol “Errie” Barnes and a single strike from Renford Harris, took their tally of points to 41, just three points adrift of leaders Ottos Rangers who have 44 points from 17 matches.
Also, Pares defeated Glanvilles by a 4-2 margin as they moved onto 23 points from 16 matches.
Darren Simpson had a double-strike, while Carrie Benjamin and Renee Selwood both scored once.
Glanvilles, who moved onto eight points, had both goals coming from Keith Gregg.
In the other Second Division contest, Ambassador defeated Tryum 4-0, with goals coming from R Taylor who scored twice, and A Browne and P Miller, who both scored a goal each.
The competition continues today when 5P’s play Real Blizzard at YASCO.
