ST JOHN’S, Antigua – PIC Insurance Liberta and Caribbean Union Bank Bethesda are to clash in the ABCA, State Insurance 40 Overs-a-side cricket finals on Saturday at Factory Grounds.
Playing in the semi-finals last Sunday, Liberta beat Medpath New Winthorpes by 98 runs, while Bethesda hammered Bolans by 126 runs.
Playing at Falmouth, Liberta amassed 225 for eight off their 40 overs. Rahkeem “Jimbo” Cornwall hit 74; Wilden “Polo” Cornwall added 64.
Mario Gomes claimed three for 72.
In reply, New Winthorpes were bowled out for 157 runs. Sylvester “Bouncing” Joseph struck 66.
Hayden Walsh Jr took four for 40 and Rahkeem “Jimbo” Cornwall had two for 20.
At Factory Grounds, Bethesda beat Bolans by 126 runs. Bethesda tallied 298 runs off their 40 overs.
Winston Noble scored 81 not out, Jamaul Fernandez added 48, Ajarni Fredericks, 40, and Kevin Archibald, 35.
Orlando Peters scalped four for 31.
