ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Pre-Carnival fete “Leggz” pulled out all the stops on Saturday night to host one of the better organised events so far leading up to this year’s summer festival, patrons said.
“The organisers could have done little to make the event better,” one Carnival lover, who witnessed the activity from start to end, told OBSERVER Media.
At least from the point of view of that spectator it appeared to be an amazingly professional show with all of the flair of lights and sound.
The timing and co-ordination of the show left nothing to complain about and each performance was brilliant, passionate and moving.
Organised by Antz Nest events, Leggz featured international Barbadian Soca Star Rupee whose real name is Rupert Clarke, and is famous for hits likeTempted to Touch.
Rupee, who signed a world-wide deal with Atlantic Records in 2000, also performed 1 on 1, Frenzy and of course What Happens in the Party to the delight of thousands of patrons who discussed the performance while leaving Millers by the sea in the early hours of Sunday morning.
There was also a notable presence of security guards and police officers in the scene.
Organisers estimate that over 3,000 people attended Leggz Reloaded.
