14 July 2012, St John’s Antigua – Several time back to back calypso monarch Lena “Queen Ivena” Phillip has announced that she will not be on the competition stage this year.
She doesn’t, however, say precisely what has prompted her decision.

It will be the first competition since her emergence in the calypso arena more than a decade ago that Queen Ivena won’t be competing.
She did, however, before announce that she would not compete and did anyway.
Time is running out if that is to happen this time round, as Sunday is the deadline to join the competition.
