ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Four people, including two children, who went missing yesterday were found alive this morning.
Michael and Mark, along with their father George Ghnem and family friend Charbell Eid are back on land and have been transported to the Mount St John’s Medical Centre.
The four was found huddled together on the small boat they set out on yesterday morning.
The boat had overturned and they held onto it overnight. They were found drifting on top the boat east of Bird Island this morning.
The news hit the airways of OBSERVER Radio around 8 o’clock this morning.
More than two dozen boats went out as part of the search and rescue operation.
There were found after several aircraft and helicopters led the search from the air.
Among those searching from the sky were Caribbean Helicopters, LIAT, Norman Aviation, a search and rescue helicopter from Barbados and another from Guadeloupe.

I am sooo so happy that they found them alive. What the devil wanted to make bad God turn it around and make it good and whole again. My heart goes out the family.

Happy to know the four was found.
It’s about time the authorities mandate all locally registering sea-going vessels be equipped with a beacon device (sound and a flashing light for night visibility) to aid faster emergency assistance.
