ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Telecommunications Company Digicel is offering voluntary severance packages to Antigua-based employees.

Country Manager Victor Corcoran says its voluntary severance offer is in response to numerous requests from staff and is based on the need to remain efficient. Corcoran added the offer provides opportunities for staffers who are desirous of pursuing other things.

“Digicel believes in giving staff opportunities. If staff wanted to go on and do something else, we would help them do that,” Corcoran said.

In an email, Digicel highlighted that its voluntary separation programme is being offered based on its ongoing focus on driving efficiencies coupled with optimum business performance and numerous requests from staff.

The company grossed earnings of more than one billion dollars across its network in the Caribbean, Latin America and the Pacific at the end of March.

Digicel carries out reviews in its 31 markets on an ongoing basis to ensure delivery of the best experience to customers.
