ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Two persons of interest are in police custody in relation to the shooting death of Everet Camacho-Tittle, who was gunned down late Thursday.
Information reaching OBSERVER Media are that police picked up the man and his girlfriend over the weekend and up to press time the couple were still in detention assisting investigators.
The source said the couple has not been deemed suspects as the investigation is still in its early stage.
Tittle was shot in the neck some time around 7 pm Thursday. He succumbed to the injury on the scene in front of his Sand Haven beachfront apartment where he resided for the past two months.
Neighbours were first alerted to the shooting by a noise coming from the apartment and when they investigated, Tittle emerged with the injury to the neck.
In an earlier report, witnesses said they saw a man dressed in three quarter length pants, a hooded T-shirt and Timberland boots fleeing the scene where the 39-year-old was killed.
The assailant appeared to have something cradled in the shirt as he ran, holding the front of it up against his abdomen.
