St. John’s Antigua- Well-known carnival follower Alister Thomas says groups associated with the summer festival are hoping for a radically redesigned staging from 2013.

The Carnival Development Committee CDC is, for the first time, in the control of Kayodie O’Marde, and Thomas says groups smell an opportunity for a fresh start.

Thomas says, although the right people have endorsed the idea of an overhaul, no guarantees have been given.

That means, he says, that groups’ lobbyists will have to keep pushing the issue.
