St. John’s Antigua- A woman who jumped from a two storey building to get away from a burglar has escaped with only minor injuries.

The masked man invaded her All Saints Road apartment just after 3.30 on Saturday morning.

The woman told Observer Media that when the man approached her she broke a window and jumped.

The 29 year old received several cuts which she said took more than 100 stitches.

The woman was treated and discharged from the Mount St. John’s Medical centre.

She told Observer Media she did not know if the man had come to rob or rape but would rather have died than become a victim.

It’s understood that the intruder used a ladder to access the woman’s apartment.
