Former Prime Minister Lester Bird
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua - The 74 year old leader of the Opposition Antigua Labour Party, Lester Bird has been advised to retire from active politics.
The recommendation comes from regional pollster and political scientist, Peter Wickham amid concerns about the health of the former two term prime minister.
Wickham says Bird’s insistence on running if party supporters favour is neither good for the party or the leader.
