The reason the 100mil SmokeScreen project dosn’t go forward is the mass of the Barbuda people are not fooled by the Broke ill intentions, the non-existent due diligence and the fact that some Barbudan’s openly admit they have been paid to make project go through. Further, there was another project proposed a year ago by Black Americans venture fund who can write a 100 million dollar cheque without hesitation, who have a proven track record in much bigger hospitality projects all over the world, and offered 20mill in escrow if not completed, but the council were way out of their depth in terms of negotiation with the middleman. Instead of employing a professional firm to help Barbuda negotiate, they panicked, dropped it, and opted to go with the convicted fraudster scheme. The council is just not ready or able. In any case. Barbuda does not need a huge project or more land given away. The people need leadership of integrity, a plan, and a sustainable road map forward.
