Contrary to widespread rumours, The Daily OBSERVER and OBSERVER Sports have been reliably informed that Grenadian striker, Keithson Bain, who is currently representing Ting All Saints United in the Digicel and OBSERVER Media Group Premier Division football competition, has not been signed by Antigua Barracuda FC.
Rumours had surfaced following the player’s debut with the All Saints team some four weeks ago that he had signed with the country’s lone professional outfit, but sources close to the Grenadian say that this is not the case.
Bain is, however, said to be in high demand with several teams both in the USA and across the Caribbean showing keen interest in adding the nippy and aggressive forward to their roster.
The striker, who has racked up four goals since arriving on island, scored a hat-trick when United defeated front-runners Asot’s Arcade Parham by a 3-1 margin two weeks ago, while he scored from the penalty spot in his team’s 2-1 loss to LIME Old Road on Sunday.
