I would like to publicly commend the employees at the Antigua Public Library for their efficient and dedicated service despite the working conditions they face daily.

Some of these librarians have been there since I was going to school, and that is some 10 to 15 years ago. It cannot be easy to work under those cramped conditions.

In my opinion, these people – and especially those at the Children’s Library – are always pleasant and ready to assist.

I hope that they all will soon be able to relocate to a modern facility very, very soon. They deserve it – they are heroines to me.

I would also like to commend APUA, ABS television and the Ministry of Information for the initiative called Connect Antigua Barbuda BIZ.

It is very informative and I for one have learnt more about the local businesses featured through this programme.

We are always ready to jump on the negatives, so I am taking time to applaud two positives.
