August 20, 2012, St John’s Antigua – There is reaction out of St Vincent and the Grenadines, to Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack’s concerns that she was snubbed by the OECS Assembly.
The governor general has accused officials of breaching protocol for the historic Assembly.
Dame Louise chastised officials here whom she said desecrated one of the nation’s prime symbols of sovereignty when they removed a number of significant items, including Antigua and Barbuda’s flag and its laws, from parliament.
The opposition leader in St Vincent and the Grenadines – Arnhim Eustace, was in St John’s for the inauguration of the OECS Assembly on August 10.
He says the rest of the sub-region was pleased that Antigua and Barbuda offered to host the assembly.
