August 16, 2012, St John’s Antigua – The Antigua Labour Party Members of Parliament insist they are all singing the same tune, despite recent media reports of an alleged internal struggle within the party.

On Wednesday, a press release from Opposition Leader Lester Bird referred to an alleged “plot” to remove him from the seat of leadership.

Today, however, the Labour Party MPs including Molwyn Joseph denied that any such meeting took place with that kind of an agenda.

That was typical of the response from MPs Gaston Brown, Eustace “Teco” Lake, and Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin.

Asot Michael and Robin Yearwood were not available for comment.

The MPs also seem to agree that the ALP Convention in November would be the constitutionally appropriate time for a decision to be made about the leadership of the party.
