ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The All Saints Secondary School’s two cricket teams in the United Insurance Schools Cricket Competition have been treated to dinner by the two sponsors Eric Knight, who is the owner of Eric Construction & Heavy Equipment Services Ltd which sponsored the senior team, and George Purcell of Purcell Vegetable Farm which sponsored the junior squad.

The senior team won the title over the past four years – in 2009, 2010, joint champions with Ottos Comprehensive in 2011, and joint champions in 2012 with Clare Hall Secondary.

The junior team captured back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011, but lost to Princess Margaret Secondary in the finals in 2012.

Coach of the All Saints Secondary School cricket teams Purnell “Roxy” Joseph told OBSERVER Sports that the teams’ success was due to hard work and dedication and the overwhelming support of the entire school.

Knight told OBSERVER Sports that the dinner was to show appreciation to the teams for their hard work, and as sponsors, they are giving back to the school which they attended, and to the community.

He said in spite of these hard times, they would continue to assist their school in any way possible.

The teams were treated to dinner at Food Fantasy Restaurant on Saturday evening. Both sponsors and Joseph along with one parent, Ian Gore, were in attendance.
