English Harbour nightspot Abracadabra, this weekend, is expected to take on a different kind of ambiance.
It will be hosting a trance party tomorrow, featuring guest DJ Pedro del Mar from Germany.
Trance is a music style that was formed during the 90′s, mainly in Germany, and has been influencing dance music worldwide until today.
“Abracadabra is bringing that European feel to English Harbour. It’s going to be a little different, sound, faster and more uplifting than the usual Saturday US Top 40,” a release from the organisers said. “You will feel like you’re at a European Rave.”
The statement added, “Our guest DJ, Pedro del Mar from Germany, is worldwide respected for his trance productions on the most famous record labels like Armada, Black Hole Recordings (once started by superstar Dj Tiesto).
With a career behind the decks which has taken him from the USA to China, Ibiza to South Africa and beyond… over 60 countries to be exact, Pedro Del Mar is a DJ who’s international reputation is renowned, thanks to his Balearic and Uplifting-influenced Trance sets which also delve into the styles of Progressive and House.”
York and Vintage & Morelli will also be heating up the place.
For those who want to relax a bit, Jahny Gwapp is down to play the finest roots reggae tunes.
The event is being hosted under the brand of European dance record label Armada Music. The label is owned by DJ van Buren, who was voted this year as the No 1 DJ worldwide by the famous British monthly magazine dedicated to electronic dance music – DJ Mag.
Armada is also home to the world’s biggest DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, York and many more.
Tickets are $25 at the gate. Doors open at 10 pm.
