Antigua & Barbuda Amateur Basketball Association (ABABA) with some assistance from the Ministry of Sports will be hosting an Officiating Clinic from March 10 to 13, at JSC Sports Complex.

The facilitator will be Freddy Browne, a FIBA Referee Consultant from The Bahamas.

Antiguan basketball officials will seek to get re-certified and successful interested officials will also become new FIBA certified referees.

The officiating clinic will also include table officiating. Interested persons, referees, and table officials are asked to register now for this clinic.

Registration forms can be obtained from any member of the ABABA.

Meanwhile, ABABA will hold a joint venture with the University of Health Sciences Antigua School of Medicine to ensure that there is a healthy and safe environment for all to enjoy the sport of basketball throughout the state.

There will be a free screening exercise for hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, BMI, a brief post screening counseling, and a recommended exercise regimen to maintain best physical health for players throughout the season.
