AAC Storm to host invitational swim meet

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua Aquatic Club (AAC) Storm will be staging its fifth annual invitational swim meet from June 22 to 24 at Antigua Athletic Club in Coolidge.

The event, which is sanctioned by Antigua & Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABFA), will be the first meet in Antigua to adopt the OECS Swimming Championships format which spans an entire weekend, starting on Friday and concluding on Sunday with some events taking place at nights.

The event will run from 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday and will take place between the hours of 10 am to 4 am on Saturday and Sunday

A total of 80 top national swimmers, including many who have gone on to represent Antigua & Barbuda at international competitions, will vie for overall titles in their respective age groups as well as the overall team title.

The four-time defending champions, Storm, will be trying to make it five in a row.

There will also be music, food, drinks, tattoos and face painting for the kids.
