St. John’s Antigua- Regina Vincent Clark, author-playwright-poet, will read excerpts from and sign copies of “From Grandmother, With Love,” a book for children, mothers, and grandmothers, Saturday, May 5 at 5:30 pm at Best of Books, Village Walk, Friar’s Hill Rd.
Released in time for Mother’s Day, the book is described as entertaining, true to heart, and a treasure for generations to come.
The illustrated book features mothers and grandmothers from several different countries including many from Antigua. Willie English of Anniston, Alabama, who reviewed an advance copy noted, “Kudos to Dr Clark. This book transcends all cultures and ethnicities … Abuela, Me’Me’, Oma, Nonna, ChaCha, NaiNai, Bedstemor, Grandmama, Nana, Memaw.”
Dr Clark, a native of Talladega, Alabama, is currently living and working in Antigua and is the author of four books, three stage productions, and two spoken word CDs.
