
My name is Samuel Roberts. Born of an Antiguan father and a Barbudan
Mother I consider myself Antiguan and Barbudan in the truest sense of the
term. My passions include pan, sports, teaching and communication. I have
lived all my life in All Saints and have reaped the benefits of growing up
in such a diverse community. I play team sports very well, I understand
that hard work brings reward and I communicate very well with others. I
consider it a privilege to be a part of of the organization that started
the process of opening up the airwaves to the average citizen.

Shelton Daniel, a native of Saint Lucia, was Director of News & Current Affairs at Radio Saint Lucia for nearly a decade before joining the OBSERVER MEDIA GROUP as a Senior Journalist/Producer at the beginning of June 2009. His 25 years of experience in media also include stints as Editor of the Saint Lucia Star Newspaper, as a news reporter with Radio Caribbean International, as an evening news anchor with St. Lucia Television. Shelton is also the person behind the new weekly column ?MAN MATTERS? published Thursdays in THE DAILY OBSERVER, and can occasionally be heard presenting the Big Stories on OBSERVER RADIO.

Vivian Anthony Michael has been with The OBSERVER Group for over 10 years.
He has worked in varying capacities and is presently a member of the
Production Department at The Daily OBSERVER as well as a Big Stories
presenter. Vivian has a background in poetry and the literary arts and is
the creator of Writers Block, a weekly column devoted to exposing writers
resident here.

Myria Hart has been a sub-editor at the Daily Observer since April 2005. A
teacher by profession, she spent most of her career at the secondary level
and her last years at the Antigua State College where she taught in the
‘A’ Level Department. Her last degree was a Masters in Education.

Carol Williams began working with the Observer Group of Companies in 2004
after relocating from her native Grenada where she had been employed
in the media for several years. She joined The Daily OBSERVER as a
Journalist and is now employed as a News Producer for Observer Radio. She

in 2005 after years working in the construction, airline, and banking

Berneta Toulon taught English, Literature, History, Health Science
and Home Economics for for 35 years, at various levels. She
started working at The Daily OBSERVER four years ago as a
proofreader and is now a sub-editor.

Martina Johnson is a reporter with OBSERVER, with a primary beat that
includes court and the police blotter. Martina started working with the
company in 2007, but her foray into media began in her native Guyana, when
she was 16, reporting court news.

Tameika Malone is a budding journalist who found her way into the field following a media practitioners? workshop that awoke a passion in her. She?s gaining practical experience as she makes plan to formalize her training.

A 2008 graduate of State University in Texas, Amar Spencer is a reporter with The Daily OBSERVER and OBSERVER Radio. As she hones her craft, she also has her sights set on pursuing a Master?s Degree in a communication-related field next year.

Dawne Bennett is a journalist with 10 years experience in print and broadcast journalism. She began her journey in the field in 1999 in her native Barbados, working at local media houses and, later, regional news organisation, the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC). Cherisse Constant is currently a sub-editor at The Daily OBSERVER. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business journalism from Baruch College, a City University Of New York. Before joining this newspaper as a reporter in May 2000, she worked as an intern at Successful Meetings magazine and American Metal Market, both trade publications. She is an alumnus of Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts.

Sub-editor Juliet Benjamin taught in the public school system for over thirty years. She entered the media profession as a part-timer, proofreading and fitting in where needed, eventually making the crossover having found her stride in news. She left Observer for two years, during which time she was the News Editor at the state-owned ABS Radio and Television, before returning to The Daily OBSERVER as a sub-editor, where she has been for the past three years.

Mickel Brann is the editor of The Daily OBSERVER and plays an integral role in the converged newsroom of the OBSERVER organisation. A beneficiary of the Stateside Minority in Media programme which paired college students with a parent company, in this case WNYW FOX, Mickel is a graduate The College of Mount Saint Vincent. She is at home in print, radio and television.
