A flight carrying the first batch of medical supplies earmarked for earthquake victims in Haiti, left Antigua yesterday for the dispatch unit in Jamaica.
A release from the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) said the medical supplies were collected as part of Antigua’s ongoing relief efforts in conjunction with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).
NODS is expressing thanks to the following companies for contributing to this special shipment. They are Prime Distributors, Cecil Charles Co Ltd, A S Bryden & Sons (Antigua) Ltd, and Piper’s Pharmacy Ltd.
The disaster emergency management agency has provided a list of specific medical supplies and dry goods requested by CDEMA officials on the ground in Haiti.
Persons who wish to donate supplies from the list below can do so at NODS headquarters on American Road.
