Well done and good job to our customs officers, search these barrels as carefully as you can and not only for drugs. Search those coming out of the US thoroughly for guns and other weapons. Some time ago i heard a radio personality here in the US reaching out to his fellow nationals to please send food and not guns. This radio personality is from one those larger caricom nation which is famous for their guns, drugs and crime and whom we seem to have a whole lot of. Search them carefully, don’t care who push up their mouths and say the process takes forever, just do a very good job.

By the way when you find drugs, fine and confine and then deport, but please no 1/3 or 2/3 discounts in these cases. Here you are doing a very good gesture to help with food and hose holdhold effects and they only see it fit to bring these illegal contrabands, lock them up!

How dumb can these criminals get? Of course they’re going to search the barrels. Isn’t there a list of approved types of items that qualify for the dollar barrel. Why wouldnt the custom officers search barrels to see if they qualify? This bust is great news! Now its time for arrests!

Wow…these days everyone facing charges have been falling sick. MSJMC has to open a special unit at the court/

Its nice to hear that some thing possitive has taken place in the government services because there has been so many negatives this is pleasing.

antigua polce very good on weed but not on finding robbers

This is the perfect epitimy, of the innocent suffers for the guilty. Here you have a good government program, that give a little break to so many hard working people. Your relatives overseas, are able to send some goodies for the holidays. Now you have these selfish, undesirable, despicable people, who thinks this is an opportunity to advance their criminal agenda. The government should not use this as a reason, to curtail the program. So many good people, should not have to suffer for the deeds of so few. However these barrels should be carefully checked and punishment should be directed solely to the perpetrators, not to the merit of the program.

Kudos to the customs’ officers. Keep up the good work, even it persons think it futile. Not only should the barrels be properly searched, but I think , the entire contents should be laid out and checked. It is a privilege granted to A&B by the government, so that persons can enjoy a good meal and not go hungry, even if it’s for one day of the year. But even the Bible speaks of these things, when it says– God made man UPRIGHT, but man has sort out many inventions. ECCL 7 V 29.– It only takes a few to corrupt a good thing, but I do hope that the maximum sentence will be handed down. So this is how so many guns are getting into the country, then I say, do as the Anthem say, Sparing nothing, giving all. Search them, turn them upside down, and help take back A&B from the criminals.

I hope he is being guarded, and not trying to fake illness to escape. Because these are the guys that have all the tricks up their sleeves, and will stop at nothing to avoid justice. This is a time of joy. Why are they importing arms, to rob the people for their food? Why not just beg them for some? (laugh) But you see, if they can import fire arms, they can use the money, to buy their own food. There should be a register set up, with names of persons who have violated the import act, and ban them for life, from ever importing anything again, even food. Anything coming to them should be in an envelop 91/2″x 4″ and should be opened and resealed before delivery. They have abused their trust. Those guns were intended to KILL US. And to the courts I say, SHOW NO MERCY.
at 12:37 am
This is sad however whats more sad is when its time for court the evedience might not be available as in the past.
Most times these drugs as evidence dissapear from the secured place (most times being the Police HeadQuarters) so **********.
By the way what became of the 80 pound that went missing not too long ago??????
at 11:43 am
I have no problems with the police looking about that kind f crime BECAUSE CRIME A CRIME but can we PLEASE pay more attention on the REAL crime affecting our women and men in the communities.
FIGHT REAL CRIME PLEASE POLICE!
at 11:52 am
it wasnt just 80 lbs kim, 120 lbs also went missing!
but i must commend the customs officials on their find. continued vigilance is needed & welcome. however, im left to wonder why it is that customs, the ABPF & the coast guard seem only to be able to find weed, while CRACK & COCANE are rampant on our streets? the MANY vagrants in town are often refered to as “crackheads” NOT “weedheads” so where is it coming from & why isnt it being found & confescated?
FIND THE CRACK & COCANE TOO-SHUT DOWN THE “WELL KNOWN” CRACK HOUSES & JAIL THE PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN BRINGING IT IN!
NB: its not made here!
at 12:30 pm
Great point Narco! I never looked at it that way. But indeed its not made here so why havent we been able to locate any of that white stuff? Is it that the ppl with the white stuff is more high end while its the little ppl with very little skills and head bringing in the plant?
And also these men are not smart at all because for the kind of monies that is involved in these activities before they invest and get out and have a steady clean income they continue in it till they get buss by police. These ppl are really headless!
at 1:26 pm
Real crime: What do you think they are using to comit the crimes against women and men? THE GUNS! So the more they are found the less will be on the streets.
at 10:23 pm
To all that and more:— I am very sorry i was of the opinion as i read the article that they found drugs i was ot aware that they found guns also. But as i re-read ur 1st comment where it states that “Those guns were intended to kill us” i realised that it is guns that was found at the port and not drugs as i thought originally.
Thus, since that is the case i sincerely apoligise because i am well aware that guns are used to commit crimes against women and i hate to even think of it. Thank for clearing that up. Much appreciated! Thanks again!
I also agree with ur first comment being to band them from bringing in any other thing in the country.
